BDR Support Bournville Village Trust With Charity Raffle Donation
Founded in 1900, Bournville Village Trust one of the largest and most respected housing trusts in the UK, managing 8,000+ properties in Bournville, Shropshire and the Midlands.
This year the Trust, at their annual staff Christmas party, will hold a charity raffle to raise much needed funds for their charity of choice.
To maximise their fundraising efforts, BVT has called upon suppliers, contractors and partners to donate raffle prizes. As a long standing customer of ours BDR were more than happy to contribute, donating a PS4 and much anticipated FIFA 2016 game to accompany the console.
BDR provide bespoke IT & Communications solutions to businesses across the UK, and have implemented a complete UCS (unified communications solution) providing Bournville Village Trust with an independent network through which they are able to manage their Wi-Fi (internet) and telephony systems across all of their Midlands sites.
Of the raffle donation, Parm Flora, Senior Account Manager at BDR said: “As part of our CSR (corporate social responsibility) BDR actively support charity activities. From local charity incentives to national charity events. When BVT approached us, we were more than happy to help”. He continued “I hope that this donation goes a little way to raising a lot of money for two very worthy causes”.
The two charities in question are the Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Midlands Air Ambulance, both two very worthy causes who rely upon donations through fundraising via the public and private sectors.
Carl Fowler, Head of IT at Bournville Village Trust said: “BDR have been suppliers of IT & Communications for the last two years, and have always embraced our charity and/or fundraising initiatives. Their donation of this PS4 and game is superb and will definitely increase sales of raffle tickets from colleagues keen to win this great prize!”
