Taurus Exeter Business Games

The final whistle has been blown. The Exeter Business Games are over. Concert member, Taurus, has been competing with 27 other local businesses at a number of events throughout June. As well as competing in sporting activities, all the businesses raised money via sponsorship to support The Exeter Foundation. The foundation supports a large number of local projects and charities. The games have raised nearly £8000 for the foundation. A big thank you from Taurus for all the generous sponsorship received for the foundation.

Over the past two months Taurus took part in:

  • Ten Pin Bowling
  • Tag Rugby
  • Pub Quiz
  • Clip N Climb
  • Touch Tennis
  • Dodgeball
  • Pub Games
  • River Activities

The finale of the games was River Activities and six of Taurus’ bravest members braved the heat and headed down to the Quay. After an hour and a half of archery, canoeing and orienteering, the team returned hot and triumphant. The final results are now in. In our Exeter Business Games debut, Taurus finished 11th out of 28 companies! We’re chuffed!

As well as being hard work, it was a lot of fun. The team got a chance to play and network with other local businesses and create new relationships. Taurus’ first year in the games has been a learning experience; bonding the team, meeting other businesses, supporting The Exeter Foundation and having fun.
